Moe Yallourn Rail Trail

This flat, scenic 8.5km trail stretches between Moe Botanical Gardens and the Graeme Edwards Memorial park at Yallourn Power Station. The trail reserve is managed and maintained by committee of management, made up of a small group of volunteers from the Moe and Newborough area. Committee members are custodians of the Trail (under the jurisdiction of the Latrobe City Council).

The aim of the committee is to maintain the Rail Trail reserve in a natural and safe state, so that the community and visitors to the area can use and enjoy the picturesque ride/walk/run/stroll that this trail offers.

A dedicated group of volunteers (known as Friends of MYRT) regularly participate in working bees to undertake weeding, pruning, planting and general track maintenance.

The executive team are committed to maintaining a trail for the community to enjoy in partnership with a dedicated Friends of Group.
